My 41st Birthday

My 41st Birthday

I read a quote one time that said, "Do not regret growing older.  It is a privilege denied to many."  That quote convicted me.  One of my sisters died at the age of 35 and here I am, blessed to reach beyond that, and I am trying to hide the fact.  Every since then, I have been very vocal about my age.  Plus, I don't look my age so even more to see the shocks on people's faces when I tell them the number.

I am really boujie when it comes to my birthday.  I always aim for prissy, dainty and fun!  So this year I decided that I wanted to dine at Laduree and go see a show. First we went to Laduree.  Unfortunately we were a bit rushed because for some reason service was a little slow.  Had we not had a show to catch, the slowness would not have bothered me.  The food and drinks were good but we happen to have a server who was either new or a bit off that night.  I would love to go back and experience Lauduree again to get a real sense of the place.  The show of choice was Madame M which featured Clive Owens.  It was an excellent show.  The man who played Madame M was phenomenal!  My dress was from Asos, one of my favorite online stores.  Although my dress is more for the spring or summer, I thought to myself, what the heck! It is my birthday! I look forward to my birthday every year! I love getting all dolled up and celebrating with my friends.  Here are some pictures from my birthday:
