Haitian Flag Day!

As Mrs. Limbe International, I was asked to participate in a Hatian Flag Day Celebration in my hometown Brooklyn. I would get to celebrate my country's flag as well as share about one of my charities, Educate Haiti Now.

Haitian Flag Day (May 18th) is a day we celebrate our wonder flag that was created by Catherine Flon.  Our flag is a symbol of the Haitian Revolution and Independence.  Haiti has one of the greatest history.  It was the first black nation to gain its independence from the French on January 1, 1804.  We declared we will no longer be slaves!  Haiti inspired the whole world to take note.  Black people were smart, strong and masters of our own lives.  No matter what has happened in Haiti's history since 1804, we will always be in the history books as the first! Long live AYITI!!!
