Haiti Pageant-Dinner

I got dressed for dinner.  One of my favorite things to do is to get dressed up.  As heavy as my heart was, I looked forward to seeing all the beautiful gowns.  I was not disappointed.  We met at the hotels grand staircase and took pictures in our individual categories and together.  After taking pictures, we all walked in to dinner.

Dinner started off with a prayer then introduction of notable people who supported Hermanie Pierre and the Haiti Pageant were made. I had great time at dinner getting to know the women at my table.

I was also excited that my hubby was flying in from NY to be with me!

The day ended with meeting Joanne B. Brown (Mrs. International 2000-the only African-American to win the title to date), whom inspires me.  Joanne is Haitian as well! God willing, I will follow in her footsteps.  She imparted some wisdom to us.  The one that stuck out the most to me was, "Be so good that they can't ignore you." Note taken Joanne!
