An Evening of Spirit!

An Evening of Spirit!

When my mentor Dr. Mona (Rheumatology doctor and my mentor) asked me to attend the Evening of Spirit at NY Methodist Hospital, I was more then delighted. NY Methodist Hospital is a very good hospital, with a great reputation. It was to be a night of eating, pampering and awareness.

The night was in full swing when I arrived.  Women were getting their nails done, getting massaged, hair done and many other forms of pampering.  My favorite tea place, David's Teas were giving samples of their Fall teas and they were super yummy.  I wanted to stand by their table all night.  I then found Dr. Mona who immediately started proudly parading me around,  introducing me to strangers and her colleagues that were helping out for the evening.

I made some great connections and met some really sweet people who congratulated me on my new title.  I was able to write my sister, mother-in-law, and my friend on a wall dedicated in the memory of those gone ahead due to various cancers.  I even won a door prize!!!

I want to thank Dr. Mona for inviting me to such a great event.  I hope to attend next year!
